When does your fridge alarm go off???

Fridge Alarm Settings Debate – An auditor recently made the recommendation below:

“If your fridge alarms are set at +15°C (min) and +25°C (max) as required – why not set the alarms to go off at +16°C (min) and +24°C (max) to give more time to move products if necessary.

Likewise for cooler fridges, consider setting alarms at +2°C and +8°C and not +3°C and +7°C.”

What do we think ?

The fridge alarms settings in the warehouse were actually +8°C and +25°C and +2°C and +8°C. The probes measure the air temperature and not the core temperature of the products so the view of the warehouse and the RP was that the alarms did not require to be altered do you agree ?

When may we take a different approach ? And why ?

Testimonials

Both Jackie and Sandeep made it really easy to understand the content – they encouraged discussion but also made sure that focus was given to areas specific to the attendees. Overall I enjoyed the course and found it far less overwhelming than I expected.
