Directive 2011/62/EU- new definition of “introduced” medicines.

Directive 2011/62/EU, has introduced a new definition of  ” Introduced ” medicines. These are medicines which are to  be imported into  a EU Member state solely for the purpose of exporting  again to a third country  with no intention of  them being placed on the European market.

Organisations operating in a free trade zone or free warehouse  or introducing these medicines for export must now have a licence to wholesale medicines.
