UPS Shipping update

If you use UPS shipping services, have you made the updates to your processes to include their most recent change?

Effective from 1st November 2025 they will require both the shipper’s email address and the receiver’s email address for most international shipments that require customs clearance.

They have stated that providing these email addresses is essential to prevent shipment delays or customs holds, as it enables UPS to quickly contact the appropriate party to resolve customs queries through their secure digital portal.

This requirement applies only to UPS shipments currently; they will notify customers if similar changes are introduced by any other carrier partners.

Key change and action required:

  • You must now provide both the shipper email address and the receiver email address for all international shipments sent via UPS services (including those processed through systems such as eShip or API).

The only exceptions are shipments to Germany (DE), Poland (PL), or China (CN), where the receiver’s email address remains optional.
