MHRA GDP Inspectorate – Compliance with revised Good Distribution Practice

by | Aug 13, 2014 | Blog, Good Distribution Practice - GDP, MHRA

On the 12th August, 2014, the MHRA GDP Inspectorate issued an e-mail to all Wholesale Distributors regarding their concerns that they are continuing to record a number of major deficiencies where the revised EU Guidelines on Good Distribution Practice have not been read, understood or implemented.

The guidelines were revised and came into force in September, 2013 and give the requirements for wholesale distribution and for the prevention of falsified products reaching the legal supply chain.

The MHRA warn that if a wholesale distributor has not yet implemented the new guidelines, failure to comply is likely to result in a number of deficiencies at the next inspection.

Are you compliant with the new guidelines? PCL offers GDP courses that look at each clause of the guidelines, giving an understanding of the requirements.
