Training – Responsible Person (RP) & Good Distribution Practice (GDP)

It is quite a common occurrence to receive a call from a new client enquiring about how to obtain a Wholesale Dealer’s License or WDL.  First of all, I advise politely that the terminology has now changed to a Wholesale Distribution Authorisation or WDA(H) but either way, this is the license which allows one to wholesale medicines.  Secondly, we discuss their personal position, what experience they have , their plans and inevitably the first steps to getting them on their way.

For all new enquiries, I always suggest attending one of our training sessions which covers an introduction to the role and responsibility of the Responsible Person and the principles and guidelines of Good Distribution Practice of which as a license holder you will need to adhere to.

You would be surprised that many people don’t want to pay for training or find it necessary despite having trained members of staff as a requirement of GDP itself!

Our courses are designed to help people understand the complexities of being a license holder and the responsibilities associated with it.  They aim to give attendees the relevant knowledge to make an informed decision as to whether they still wish to proceed and the skills to then begin to go about it.
