What are the risks in terms of journey time and starting point and end point?
Has the route been tested before ? Will the packaging be robust enough?
Will the product be better going by air freight? Do I put in one data logger or
two ? Does the pallet need a space blanket. When I get my data how do I report it ?
Where do I go for advice and support ? What happens if all my suppliers are non
compliant?
Pharmacy consulting recently placed a data logger in a package with a large
medicine logistics company for a special delivery to arrive the next day before
10am ( a Wednesday ) and it arrived on the Saturday! No notes were put through
the door of the client. No signature was given by the client and there was no thought
to the storage requirements ! The package was just left with a neighbour!
What should you do as RP if this happens to your clients delivery ? What should
RPs advise when even the so called ” Best ” logistics companies let us down?
