The Government launched a new “ Digital by Default Standard“  and the aim of the criteria is to ensure that the digital services are of a consistently high quality, that they are secure, safe  easily improved and meet the needs of the service user. When the digital service passes the 26 criteria the assessment panel will award the standard and will appear on GOV.UK and the aim is that the service will be maintained and that the people who prefer to carry out the transaction online rather than by phone, post or in person.

The MHRA launched their portal in line with the above standards. The existing MHRA customers were preloaded onto the new MHRA portal and they can now manage their own data and thus the MHRA staff can focus on customer service and adding value. New MHRA customers have to register and the MHRA will take two to four days to check the details and approve them.
