GPs, How Do You Rate?

by | Feb 2, 2015 | CQC

The CQC have recently published 75 reports on the quality of care provided by GP practices that have been inspected under the new approach and 60 of those have been found to be good or outstanding which means that 15 have been found to be requiring improvement or in adequate!

In August 2014 the CQC announced plans to introduce a special measures framework for GP practices. This will ensure that practices are not allowed to continue to provide inadequate care to patients indefinitely. This scheme has been piloting since October 2014 and will be fully implemented by April 2015.

Furthermore by 1st April 2015 every healthcare provider will be legally required to display their rating in their premises and online through their website.

This is not something that can be ignored….
