CQC ‘Outstanding’ for Frimley Park Hospital

by | Feb 3, 2015 | CQC

England’s Chief Inspector of Hospitals recently awarded their first ‘Outstanding’ rating to Frimley Park Hospital. The hospital’s chief executive, Andrew Morris, remarked on “the emphasis on team working and cooperation across specialities” as major influencers in improving patients’ experiences. After a thorough inspection of all areas of the hospital, the team of inspectors from the Care Quality Commission rated Frimley Park as ‘Outstanding’ for being caring, responsive and well-led and ‘Good’ for being safe and effective, which resulted in an overall rating of ‘Outstanding’.

This wonderful accolade is a real boost to the newly formed Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust which serves approximately 900 000 patients in Hampshire, Surrey, east Berkshire and south Buckinghamshire.  The new organisation brings together Wexham Park in Slough, Heatherwood Hospital in Ascot and Frimley Park Hospital in Frimley; and employs over 8500 members of staff across a wide range of services.
