Simulation training is being carried out in many locations and it is growing, traditionally mannequins with no limbs were used for First Aid Training, some more sophisticated ones light up to tell you how well you have carried out your resuscitation. Simulation training is also putting doctors through their paces for medical emergencies in such as at Frimley Parks simulation suite.

Simulated mannequins have heartbeats, can breathe, talk and blink! The mannequin has been named SIMAN for Simulated Man. Siman can have a collapsed lung or a heart attack and will respond to  treatments given including medication, It is a way to practice skills in a safe environment. The simulation method of training is excellent for multidisciplinary training.
