The Royal College of Surgeons has announced that they have established at voluntary register of surgeons who are qualified in cosmetic surgery and this can be accessed by patients. To be included on the list the surgeons must have attended a masterclass on ethics and professional aspects of cosmetic surgery practice. This is a welcome step and should give assurances to patients and help them to make informed choices.
