Are Certain Online Pharmacies putting their Patients at Risk?

In March, Public Health England announced that Coronavirus ‘home’ testing kits were not approved and there was no evidence to suggest the efficacy of such tests.

So why have 7 online pharmacies, one month later, on the 29th April been issued with letters from the GPhC underlining the MHRA’s guidance that it is illegal to sell home test kits without a CE mark? Are they putting their patients at risk and those around them? The guidance from the MHRA states that there are currently no CE marked tests for home use and they are committed to working with law enforcement to protect the public and prevent illegal coronavirus tests entering the supply chain or getting to the end-user.
