Bona-Fides – your new employees

This is only a quick blog item for now but we do spend a lot of time consulting to medicines wholesalers about the bona-fides they need to check and collect when qualifying new customer and new suppliers.  We stress the need for such qualifying processes and of course the potential ramifications should this not be adhered to.

Well I recently read a short piece stating that  as of May 16 this year all employers are facing increased penalties for employing illegal workers.  The fine is now actually £20,000.

So the lesson here is … extend your bona-fides check to your new employees and be vigilant.  No-one wants a £20,000 fine.  Your bona-fides are actually important.

There are ways to protect yourself and many lawyers can you unknowingly doing so.
