Drop-shipping

Drop-shipping; It is not uncommon for WDA(H) licence holders to operate a drop-shipping model where the licence holder instructs supplier(s) to ship directly to their customers on their behalf (without the goods transiting through the licence holder’s premises).

However, not all licence holders are aware that if you use the drop-shipping method to supply your customers then you must have the supplier listed on your WDA(H) licence.

Schedule 4, Part 4, regulation 29 of the Human Medicines Regulations requires that:

The licence holder must not use any premises for the handling, storage or distribution of medicinal products other than those specified in the licence or notified to the licensing authority from time to time and approved by the licensing authority (link below).
