A leading substance abuse researcher in Australia believes that as long as it is illegal to sell e-cigarettes containing nicotine in Australia the constraint places researchers and smokers in a difficult situation.

University of Queensland (UQ) Professor Wayne Hall, advisor to the World Health Organisation believes such restrictions “limit research and positive use by those who would prefer to slow their habit or stop smoking altogether.”

What do you think? Is this a valid argument?

What do you think of e-cigs? Do they have a therapeutic value?

Or are they promoting smoking rather than limiting?
