They are not a new trendy band they are designers of new “Smart” clothing. Smart clothing when I was young was a suit you bought for weddings. Today it is likely to be a vest fitted with sensors that you will wear when you exercise to track your vital signs. The technology within the clothing facilitates the gathering of valuable data to aid clinical trial research. The real-time tracking of cardiac function, temperature and oxygen levels which Apple will tie into an alarm system that can send an alert when pre-set parameters are breached has many applications. But the idea is not new and when my friend son designed a bomber jacket that measured real-time BP a few years back while at university I remember thinking to myself at the time this has huge potential. Smart clothing could be used to monitor elderly who live alone in their own homes, patients post-cardiac surgery, critically ill patients, for research in clinical trials ……… the task now is to make them attractive to wear and at an affordable cost.

Testimonial from a Community Pharmacy in Lincolnshire
Since 2012 we have been using PCL for regulatory support, staff resourcing, training and general advice. We have consistently found that the whole team has a high level of technical competence, are always willing to get stuck in to help us and are able to come up with robust ideas to improve our systems. I would have no hesitation in recommending their services in any of these areas.
