Pharmacists and Physios have been working in GP surgeries now for over a year and the aim is to relieve pressure on the GPs so they have time for the more complicated patients. How is the segregation of patients carried out in practice and how are going to measure success? Reduced spend on medicines? In the past intervention and better compliance often put the cost of medicines up. We hope that the cost of hospital admissions went down thus? How will the effects of the reduction in pharmacy funding be measured? We know the cost to deliver the service through pharmacy will drop, but will patients go without their medicines, what effect will they have on hospital admissions? Who will be responsible?
How will NHS England monitor the effects of their changes?

GDP/RP Training
Having just completed the very informative API and Clinical Trail course (thank you Shankar) I was reminded of the traps we can fall into whereby we try to keep ourselves in our little boxes. At the MHRA symposium, I have heard several times comments such as:- “no, I’m not doing the GMP day as it’s not relevant to me” or “GDP? Oh, that doesn’t apply to us as we are manufacturers”. I am sure these comments were made well out of the earshot of MHRA personnel and on the face of it see… Read more

In the short time I am working with Steven gives me clarity that I hav… Read more

“I would like to thank Brian for coming up to us – he made a difficult subject easy to understand and also helped us with real life scenarios – not just following the curriculum, which whilst hurt our timescales – was much more beneficial for us.” Cogent (Face to Face) Training – November 2021

Dawn ran a very informative session about GDP guidance and the role of the Responsible Person. This helped me understand further about my role as the Responsible Person and how to stay 100% compliant according to the guidelines. I also picked up key points on what to look for when looking at potential suppliers and warehouse facilities. All together an excellent session, worth every penny! Pharmaceutical Wholesaler Client
