The NHS Litigation Authority have recently published statistics on their website relating to appeals for pharmacy contracts.

The number of appeals since the new market entry regulations has decreased however this may be a market anomaly as applicants get their heads around the new rules.

It seems most appeals are completed within 15 weeks whilst the time extends to 24 weeks if an oral hearing if needed.  Seems a long time given most applicants go through a 4-6 month period (at least) to receive the initial decision from NHS England.

The success rate is however difficult to measure with many appeals still in progress at the time of publicising the statistics.

Pharmacy Consulting are currently working with a number of our clients in appealing decisions made by NHS England.  We will be sure to add any feedback to this blog as time goes on and results are achieved.

Are you going through or have gone through an appeal?

Testimonials

We contracted PCL provide us with help and guidance and training, relating to pharmaceutical transportation, we found Jackie and her team to be helpful, knowledgeable and pragmatic in their advice. The training sessions went well and were very useful in helping us understand the subject.   We looked long and hard for an industry expert in this field and we certainly found one in PCL.   Andrew Fox DX (Group) plc
