Opening a Pharmacy in 2014

by | May 1, 2014 | Blog, Community Pharmacy

So you want to open a pharmacy? To be your own boss.

Do you know which location you would like? Which rule will you apply under?

Have you read the relevant PNA? And what does it say?

An NHS contracted pharmacy cannot simply be opened; you have to apply.  And you have to be successful.

Whilst there is a great number of pharmacists wanting to apply, success rates are low. Gone are the days of 100 hour exemptions and necessary or expedient.  A new pharmacy contract is rare and a business case needs to be built.

What are your plans? Are they feasible?

Learned so much from the past few days, more than I actually realised that I would. Thank you!”  February 2021… Read more
