Volume 292/7800 of The Pharmaceutical Journal published on March 8, 2014 has a very interesting article about a young member of the Great Britain women’s curling team who won a bronze medal at the recent Winter Olympics in Russia.
The significance of this being that Claire Hamilton, a member of the medal winning team is a pharmacist.
The article is a pleasant read and highlights people from within pharmacy excelling in outside of the industry. Claire mentions that she believes her pharmacy training have helped her in her sporting endeavours through the need to be highly organised as a pharmacist.
So, the next time you need motivation outside of pharmacy, think about Claire and her curling feats; perhaps you aspire to the same!
