The “Safety features” element of EUFMD (FMD2011/62/EU) and Delegated Regulation (20016/161) What Pharmacies in Northern Ireland (NI) need to know and do?

by | Jan 14, 2021 | Blog, FMD

For Northern Irish Pharmacies FMD requirements have not changed and they must continue to verify and decommission their “2D” barcoded pack Safety features.

The “ NI Protocol” required that NI must have serialised packs for at least another 4 years until it is reviewed.

Pharmacies in NI must contact SecureMed  (www.securemed.org.uk)  to ensure that they are Registered with them. Wholesalers supplying NI pharmacies from the UK have 12 months to implement FMD for products they wish to supply.

Testimonials

I attended one of the first virtual GDP Responsible Person Cogent “Gold Standard” training sessions due to the Covid-19 social distancing requirements. regardless of the circumstances the training was well organised and delivered to the required standard. This is why I recommended my associates to utilise PCL. Thank you Ryan, Sally, Adel and Jackie.
