We have been approached by several European wholesaler who have asked us to apply
for UK WLs for them as we are seen as more lenient than other member states when
it comes to issuing WLs. Some countries insist on “RP”s being pharmacists others prevent
imports of products without specific licences being held by the wholesaler for each of the
products so they chose to set up a UK affiliate and order via the UK to supply other
countries in Europe. While this is good for trade in the UK it does mean that products
travel additional legs to get to their final destination which must add risk into the logistics?
