Who is responsible for customer verification process?

There are many concerns to who has the ultimate responsibility when it comes to customer verification for wholesalers. We have an example of when there is a virtual pharmaceutical wholesaler and a pharmaceutical distribution and storage provider. The answer is it depends on your Technical/Quality Agreement. You must define who is responsible for the verification and how you approve the customer. But on the other hand, performing a bona fide check can be outsourced,  validation checks can be performed by a third party as long as you have a technical agreement in place with them. But this does not mean the responsibility of approval will not be yours (or the distribution provider). Approval process owner always stays with the wholesaler, not the performing third party.

PCL offer bona fide checks to help you approve your supplier and/or customer. Please contact us for more information.

“Really enjoyed the training session over the last 3 days, John was a great presenter who did really well considering he had an audience from all over the UK…infact the world! I’m sure the face to face/classroom style presentation would have been more interactive as I certainly missed being able to bounce off others but this is no fault of John or the course contents. Learned so much from the past few days, more than I actually realised that I would. Thank you!”  February 2021… Read more
