Cannabidiol and Clobazam

Cannabidiol and Clobazam can be prescribed to treat paediatric patients with seizures associated with Dravets or Lennox-Gastaut syndromes   The latest guidance from National Institute for Health and Care Excellence “NICE”
Cannabidiol with clobazam is recommended for seizures associated with Dravet syndrome for patients over the age of 2 years where the specialist health care provider checks the frequency of drop seizures every 6 months. If the frequency has not fallen by 30% when comparing the results with the 6 months before starting treatment with the cannabidiol then the cannabidiol must be stopped.
