Serious Shortage Protocols (SSPs)
UK Pharmacists and Pharmacies have received communication for the Royal Pharmaceutical Society yesterday (15th December 2022) regarding the addition of 3 penicillin products to the list of products impacted by serious shortages in supply.
NIMAR – The list was updated 21.12.2022
The NIMAR process is designed to ensure that people in Northern Ireland can access Prescription Only Medicines unavailable on the NI Market
Antibiotics supply issue
Previously this year we saw a shortage of HRT medication and now pharmacies are facing shortages of common antibiotics such as Amoxicillin.
