Considering opening a Distance Selling Pharmacy? Don’t miss the boat!!!

by | Feb 24, 2015 | Distance Selling Pharmacy

Many people feel that the best chance they have of starting their own pharmacy business is to open a Distance Selling Pharmacy (DSP) and I would agree, but is that about to change??

As things stand DSP are exempt from the Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA) ie you do not have to prove there is a need for the service you simply have to prove you can provide the essential services without any face to face contact. However with so many people submitting applications you have to wonder whether NHS England will close this loop hole?

Not so long ago 100 hour pharmacies were exempt from the PNA but this is no longer the case! Will DSP follow suit?

PCL can help you submit a solid application for your DSP which will give you a much better chance of it being accepted by NHS England before any changes are made to the rules.
